By Land From Blue Hill, Maine take Route 15 turning left as Route 15 joins with Route 175 on the way to Brooksville, Deer Isle, and Stonington. Turn right as Route 175 leaves Route 15. Route 175 joins with Route 176 as you continue to Brooksville. As you come down a hill and curve you will reach the small village of S. Brooksville and, on your left, you will see the sign for Bucks Harbor Marine. |

By Sea Latitude & Longitude LAT. 44 20 22N / LONG. 68 44 08W Sail due East across Penobscot Bay towards the head of the Eggemoggin Reach. You will pass Cape Rosier to Port. Keep a straight course past Red/White Buoy 'ER' to Red/White Buoy 'EG'. You are now within sight of Buck's Harbor. The course is 037 degrees M from Buoy 'EG'. Generally it is better to enter the harbor using the Eastern Entrance, keeping Harbor Island to port. As you enter the harbor you will see the two distinctive white, round fuel tanks on the Buck's Harbor Marine Dock. Call the office for mooring assignment on VHF 9. There is good water 12-35' all the way to the dock, with 12' depth at low water alongside. Caution:Always stay between the Green Buoy found in mid-harbor and the Bucks Harbor Marine dock. |
