Buck’s Harbor Marine is a fully protected, deep-water harbor at the head of the famous Eggemoggin Reach at the heart of Maine’s most beautiful cruising grounds. Our granite pier dates back to 1813 when coastal schooners loaded granite and ice bound for the Boston and New York markets. This is the site of Robert McCloskey’s well-known and loved book One Morning In Maine, and President Roosevelt used to stop his boat here for ice cream on his way to Campobello Island. The Facility is immaculate, its water pristine, and known for its personal service and terrific showers (both indoor and outdoor). The fully equipped floats and fuel pumps are served by dockboys who will handle your lines. There is a unique store where you can find the daily paper, a good book, children’s toys, fishing lures, a spare fuse, a spark plug, or treat yourself to one of our famous home-baked key lime pies. Or just enjoy an ice-cream pop and settle into one of our dock Adirondack chairs to enjoy the sunset. Our two Scottish terriers, Barclay and Horatio will be sure to keep you company.
