You are in for a real treat when you come to Buck's Harbor. A short walk up the hill from our dock you will find one of the best kept secrets of the Maine Coast — a little restaurant called Buck's Comfort Food Downeast.
The dining room is intimate and restful. The menu, created by noted local chef Jonathan Chase, is American cuisine at its best. Starters range from Prince Edward Island Mussels steamed in garlic and herbs to Mexican Summer Corn Chowder. Entrees vary from Grilled marinated Swordfish in spicy mango and plum salsa to Tuscan Braised Rabbit with red onions, garlic and herbs. There are also the best grilled cuts of Black Angus Steak as well as Cider-brined Pork Rib chops with an expresso Ginger rub. Home baked bread, a complete Wine List and amazing desserts fill out the card (and you). |

The restaurant begins dinner service at 5:30 p.m. and generally accepts dinner guests until 7:30.
